Analytics and Tracking
Build the measurement layer first. Everything downstream depends on it.
Analytics and tracking is the measurement layer that tells you which marketing actually produced revenue, and CurrentAds builds it before we spend a dollar of your budget. We configure GA4 with the events, key events, and audiences that match how your business really converts, connect Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, implement Google Tag Manager cleanly, add server-side tagging and the Google and Meta conversion APIs where volume and browser restrictions justify them, set up call tracking with dynamic number insertion, install heatmaps and session recording with form field contents excluded, reconcile platform reported conversions against GA4 and your CRM in one attribution view, and publish it all to a live dashboard you can open at two in the morning.

The problem
What this looks like when it is broken
01
Conversions are counted three times
The thank you page fires a tag, the form plugin fires another, and the platform pixel counts a view as a conversion. Reported cost per lead looks excellent, and the sales team knows it is not real.
02
Phone calls are invisible
For businesses where the phone is the conversion, calls arrive with no source attached. Every channel claims the same call, or none of them do, and budget gets moved on a coin flip.
03
Every platform claims the same sale
Google reports forty conversions, Meta reports thirty five, and the CRM shows fifty total. Without a reconciled view, whoever presents last wins the argument and the budget.
What we do
Everything included in Analytics and Tracking
GA4 configuration
Data streams, enhanced measurement, custom events, key events, audiences, and cross domain tracking built around your funnel rather than a default template.
Google Tag Manager build
A documented container with clear naming, consent handling, and none of the orphan tags left behind by the last three agencies.
Server-side tagging
A server container plus the Google Ads and Meta conversion APIs where volume and browser restrictions justify them, with event de-duplication configured properly.
Call tracking
Dynamic number insertion, per channel numbers, call recording only where it is legally permitted, and calls pushed back into GA4 and the ad platforms as conversions.
Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
Connected, verified, and monitored for coverage, query, and indexing changes, with alerts when something breaks.
Heatmaps and session recording
Scroll depth, click maps, and recordings so you can see where visitors actually stall. Form field contents are excluded from capture and sensitive fields are masked.
Attribution modeling
Platform reported, GA4 modeled, and CRM confirmed conversions lined up side by side, so you can see the gap and make the call with it in view.
Live dashboard
Spend, leads, cost per lead, and revenue by channel and campaign in your portal, updated continuously instead of summarized in a monthly PDF.
How it works
Four steps, in this order
01
Measurement plan
We write down what counts as a conversion for your business, what it is worth, and where it must be recorded, before anyone touches a line of code.
02
Implementation
Tags, events, server container, call tracking, and CRM connections built, with a rollback path and no changes to how your site behaves for visitors.
03
Verification
Every event tested end to end with real submissions, duplicates removed, and a signed off tracking document handed to you and kept current.
04
Reporting and review
Dashboards published, anomaly alerts set for events that stop firing, and a monthly reconciliation between platform, analytics, and CRM numbers.
What you get reported
The numbers we put in your portal
Live, not a monthly PDF. These are the metrics we commit to reporting for Analytics and Tracking, whether they moved in the right direction or not.
- Conversions by source, medium, campaign, and landing page
- Cost per lead and cost per acquisition, blended and by channel
- Calls tracked, answered, missed, and the source of each
- Form starts, completions, and the field where people abandon
- Platform reported versus GA4 versus CRM confirmed, side by side
- Assisted conversions and typical path length
- Data quality alerts when a key event stops firing
- Search Console coverage, queries, and indexing changes
FAQ
Analytics and Tracking questions
Why rebuild tracking before running ads?
Because every decision downstream depends on it. If conversions are duplicated or missing, the bidding algorithms learn from bad data and you pay for that every single day. Published industry audits have put broken or duplicated conversion tracking in roughly four out of ten ad accounts examined, and that matches what we find when we open accounts.
Will you own our GA4 and Tag Manager?
No. Everything is created under your Google account with us added as users. If you leave, we are removed and the entire setup, the historical data, and the documentation stay with you.
Is call recording legal?
It depends on your state and on consent rules, which differ between one party and all party consent jurisdictions. We configure recording only where it is permitted and where the required announcement is in place, and call tracking works fine without recording anywhere you prefer to skip it.
Do session recordings capture sensitive data?
We configure recording to exclude form field contents and mask fields that could hold personal or payment information. The purpose is to see where visitors stall, not to read what they typed.
Do we need server-side tagging?
Not always. It helps when browser restrictions are eating your conversion data, when you run meaningful volume, or when you need first party control over what gets sent where. If the volume does not justify the cost and the complexity, we will tell you to skip it.
